Apologies if I wasn't clear above. I did specify an actual page as a homepage (French, "Accueil", with an English translation of that page, "Home"):



As you can see the original Striking custom "Home" page does still appear in my list of pages at the Wordpress Menu settings, but is not used in the site menu:



I verified that jQuery Nivo Slider should not stop on the last slide, but it does on the 2 pages that use it in the feature space which are my 2 homepages at Chateau d'Andelot:

You are seeing one of the bugs in the WP 3.1 back-end with this theme.

Initially I specified Main Menu in "Striking Navigation" and "Striking Footer Menu" boxes, but there is a bug either with WPML plug-in or Wordpress 3.1; "Main Menu" does not appear in the boxes whenever I re-visit this WP admin page. But it does not effect my site's functionality--I have both header and footer WP navigation menus there.

I inserted the link to my slider-enabled homepage in my previous post (last sentence above I wrote "Chateau d'Andelot" as a hyperlink; hover to see it turn olive), but it appears the color of hyperlinked text is no different than regular text here in the forums except .

Found SOLUTION: Disable Striking custom homepage SlideShow. Don't know why this works, but it seems to reset my other pages slideshows to repeat as desired.
