Kaptinlin Themes Support

Hi, I'm another tiresome newbie.
I've increased the width of the columns and sidebars with custom css and my slideshow isn't centered. Can it be centered? I can't even find the settings to switch from one of the four slideshow choices to another or alternatively, turn them all off on every single page.
Given my css skill set, it's probably easier to replace them with a very basic space-saving slideshow widget.

PS: I know my customized Striking install turns this stunning theme into a visual abomination and I apologize to Kaptinlin and all web designers.
Unfortunately, as an out-of-work journalist I need every jot of that extra width to showcase my writing.
