Show categories in portfolio

    Hi,

    i can't figure out how to make categories show up in a portfolio or a portfolio item page.
    is there a way to do this?
    i'm not familiar with php.

    Hi

    I dont understand the problem? Do you mean:

    A sortable portfolio by shortcode in which case the categories are shown in the tabbed-labels? This you can just setup by using the portfolio shortcode.

    I mean that i want to add the category word to each portfolio item, under the picture, above the short description.
    Is that possible?

    Forgive us all for being somewhat dense, but I am not understanding what you want either.

    I think what you are asking is that when you post a portfolio, you want the "name" of the category each portfolio item is in to show up as well, correct:

    Right now, if looking at a list of portfolio items posted via a shortcode, one sees for each portfolio item showing:

    a) the portfolio featured image
    b) the portfolio item title
    c) excerpt if one has input an excerpt
    d) read more button

    but between "c" and "d" you would like to show the category the portfolio item is placed, correct?

    I will get back to you on whether this is is something we can implement quickly for you, or not.

    I should be able to reply in a day or so, as other stuff is ahead of your request.

    this is indeed what i want, but i would place category between b and c instead of c and d.
    do you already know if you can help me out with this?
