Problem w/ Striking and wpml - problem resolved - is conflict with certain cufon js. Turn Cufon off

    Hi,
    I' am doing a web site with striking and wpml plugin. i eant to translate my web-site in English, Deutch and Russian. English and Deutch are ok, but when i try to transalte the home page's header main menu in Russian, and i reload the home page, the header menu diasappear. This only happen when i insert russian character (taken by google transaltor).
    Can someone help me with this trouble. Is there a way to have a good visualization of russian character in my header main menu?
    P.S.: The other pages of the web site in russian are good, all working, THIS PROBLEM IS PRESENT ONLY IN HEADER MAIN MENU, THE MENU DISAPPEAR

    thx u for answer me. This problem make me crazy :-). Now...i tried to set up a different wordpress theme for testing the russian header main menu....i used "Twenty Eleven" (default wordpress theme) and the russian menu is fine..all working..all menu's characters has good visualization...
    I give you another clue: the same problem: uncorrect visualization of Russian characters is found in the titles of the three text columns of my home page...(see attachments)
    P.S.: i have attached some pictures of these problems....
    i hope you'll help me....

    Another clue: If i reload the home page (ctrl + f5), for fractions of second i can see the russian home page main menu, after that..it disappear under my eyes....
    i hope it'll be usefull....

    P.S.: maybe CSS problem?????

    I just want to point out that I am having the same problem switching from English to Chinese. When I switch to Chinese, both the menu items and page/post titles do not show.

    Are you using a static home page or the striking home page?

    Hi Paul,
    i have created all my web pages, including the home page directly with wordpress, no striking home page; I have not imported "demo .xml file"; I have created all new pages and set for each page different options of "striking page general options module"; for example i set up slideshow with "jQuery Nivoslider" for each page, and in some of these pages, i I put code taken by yours on-line "get the code" example pages by "cut and paste"
    After that, for each page i did the translation pages in English, Deutch and Russian, using the WPML "+" option in "pages menu". Finally I have synchronized all traducted menus and pages with WPML function: "Sync menu wp". All menus fine, except Russian Menu..wrong visualization...
    I want to remember my last clue, i think it is significant: If i reload the russian home page (ctrl + f5), for fractions of second i can see the russian home page main menu, all good, but after that..in less than a second it disappear under my eyes....Russian footer all good, wp language footer selector all good, posts all good, only russian home page main menu and titles of articles are wrong.

    Are you using the cufon font? if so can you turn it off please

    no cufon font plugin installed. Do you mean that ? Right?
    Sorry. it's strange..very strange problem...i have installed only free wordpress firewall 2 and contact form 7, version 3.2 with really simple captcha, version 1.5

    Please turn of the cufon font in the striking cufon font settings and see if that solves your problem.
