Striking Popular and Recent Post Widget - Usage

    Hi,

    I have set up the striking widget in my footer area and selected the category that I want to use. I added an article to this category and I expected the widget would update automatically ?


    Is this not the case or am I missing something in the settings ?

    Hi Jay

    The popular posts widget only shows popular posts, so a new post just added to your site will not show automatically. The popular posts are determined by comment count, and when the comment count is low or nil, it defaults to a combination of posts by author, and date. I will go in and stare at the code in the widget later, and update the details for determination.

    So that is why the newest post is not showing in the popular posts widget.

    HI,

    I've just tried the recent post widget and I can see what you mean, but Im looking to display the recent posts from a specific category only?

    Is there a way to do this ?

    Hi Jay,

    Then just select the category which you want to see in that widget.

    Did you use the striking recent post widget or the wp default recent posts widget?
