    How can I add a new fiel to the contact form? I want to add the telephone or URL

    Hi,

    Since some of the code for the contactfield are way below in the theme custom javascripts files i would advice you to use a plugin for that and design a complete new contactform

    The plugins you can use are contacform7 or fast secure contact form or (a paid version) QuForm.

    to adapt the themes button i would advice ContacForm 7.

    To add to Paul's comments there are many threads on the forum dealing with adding a new field to the contact form, but Paul is absolutely correct, you are much better off to use a 3rd party plugin, of which there are both free and paid, that work perfectly with Striking.

    The original intent of the built in contact form was to provide a simple ancillary contact form, while a user brought themselves up to speed on a 3rd party plugin.

    The coding to make changes to even the simple contact form we supply is fairly complex, so you would need to have a good understanding of php in order to make changes. We don't recommend it for any but the advanced user (who would not need to ask the question in the first place).

    Fast Secure Contact Form is a great free plugin which works great, and if you want a paid plugin, both of Paul's suggestions are excellent.
