Lightbox button issues
  • Hi,

    On the website http://cevma.com/beta/ I have some button and lightbox issues. In Firefox and Internet Explorer the website seems to work fine. However in Safari (and mobile browsers like Android, Windows Phone, iPhone) some things are not working out:

    - The two buttons don't align correctly in these browsers, there is no space between the two buttons (Watch the Promo and CEVMA Partners - buttons).
    - In these browsers the Youtube-video starts to play automatically, although it should only start if you press the 'Watch the Promo' button. Even if you open the lightbox in Safari and manually pauze the movie, it still continues.

    This is the code I used:

    [three_fifth][/three_fifth]
    [one_fifth]
    [button size="large" link="http://cevma.com/beta/?page_id=674&quot; align="right" bgColor="#0a5ca3"]CEVMA Partners[/button]
    [/one_fifth]
    [one_fifth_last]
    [lightbox title="Watch the Promo" href="#youtube_lightbox" inline="true" width="960" height="600"][button size="large" align="right" bgColor="#0a5ca3"]Watch the Promo[/button][/lightbox]
    <div class="hidden">
    <div id="youtube_lightbox" style="text-align: right;">[video type="youtube" clip_id="8HF4JtkHv0I" width="940" height="595"]</div>
    </div>
    [/one_fifth_last]

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards,
    Ronald-Jan

    P.S. I see that the URL of the button above isn't displayed correctly, but it's correct on the website.

  • Hi,

    I just looked on my Iphone and they look perfect. There is a space between the buttons. And they align perfect. Take note that striking is not a fluid width theme although a lot of work has been done to facilitate mobile readiness, but otherwise it is as it is.

    As for the pausing i have no answer. It is a flash video isn't it?

    If you put the video in a page does it pause then? If so then you are saying that this problem only occurs on safari browser in a lightbox video?

    Can you check that for me please?

    Best regards,

  • Hi,

    Thanks again. Yes unfortunately the theme is not completely mobile proof, but that's okay for now.

    Did the music of the movie started automatically on your iPhone? It's just button that opens a Youtube video in a lightbox, but it seems not to work properly everywhere. In Firefox and Internet Explorer it seems to work fine, but not in mobile browsers (Android, Windows Phone, WebOS and Safari).

    Best regards,
    Ronald-Jan
