Sidebar problem with woocommerce
  • Hi there,

I've created a custom sidebar for my shop, with woocommerce widgets.
I've selected this custom sidebar in the advanced striking settings and also in my shop page.
    However, it's not displayed...
It's only displayed in the product page.
The sidebar of my shop page seems to be blocked with my blog sidebar.
    Any idea to repair that??
    Thx!

  • Hi

There is a big problem with woocommerce and jigoshop in that they used the exact same classes for buttons, forms, etc as our theme (and many other themes) and thus you are seeing these types of conflicts.

We are programming a way around it, in that we are going to provide the ability to do a class switch in the forthcoming release. But be advised that when you enable the class switch, any custom css you have done might, depending on the class item you were modifying originally, have to be redone.

This update will be our last attempt to accommodate these plugins, as it is their responsibility not to infringe on primary theme classes, not the other way around.

So after this update, with the class switcher, if you experience any further style problems you will have to go to the plugin developers for resolution.

    Best Regards
    James
