How to translate feature header custom text
  • Hi,
I have done a website in Spanish language and now I need to make the English version. I have used the qtranslate and everything works fine except for the feature header custom text. I have tried with [:en] that works perfect on widgets with no success.

    Many thanks in advance.

To note, other things like the search field on the 404 page do display the proper local language. Its just the feature header custom text that does not.

    Any suggestions?
  • Hi, has anyone found a solution for this, i need to create a translation for feature header custom text on one page, but alas there is no function for it.
  • What translate program do you use?

if you use wpml you can just fill the feature header custom text per language.

or add the string translation plugin and you can translate any string you want.... even the striking 404 strings.

    Best regards,

  • Greetings,

I wanted to reply back so others can also know that the string translation plugin add-on is definitely needed to fix up widget titles, custom text fields, and the 404 strings as you mentioned.

The list of WPML add-ons can be found here: http://wpml.org/documentation/wpml-core-and-add-on-plugins/

In my case I am using the following wpml plugins with striking successfully:
    WPML Multilingual CMS (core)
WPML Media Translation (to manage attachment options)
WPML String Translation (to translate widget headers, custom fields, etc)
WPML Translation Management (to interface the translation of pages to iCanLocalize.com)
