Hello after updating to 5.1.6 there's no longer the box to insert http:// for images and even if I use the button it does not work
I try to disable all my plugin, clear all my cache and in the advanced setting enable disable thimthumb and clear cache also same. I also re-install wordpress 3.3.1
In the "Background" striking menu it's impossible to upload a custom image. There is no place to enter a web address and the Insert Image buttons do nothing when I choose the image from my library and select "Use This".
I tried using firefox with the insert image and succesfully insert the image in the general logo tab and saved but no changes on the site itself hmm.. any real support here? :(
Update: I tried on my mac and it works now, I'm not sure why is not working in my windows. Sad to know there's no longer a box though.
Also I found out that the image gallery doesnt seem to work in the homepage content editor. When i finish uploading all images and save all. The image gallery box does not appear like it should (http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/) instead it appear like this screenshot.
It used to be ok in my previous version before this update.
I'm sorry gallery shortcode will not work on striking->homepage content editor.
You should create a new page for homepage. And set it as homepage.
For image uploader option, the box will not appear. I changed it in the new version. But i test with it in chrome on windows, it works fine. So i don't know what happens in your situation.
I'm having the same issue using the logo upload button in IE and Chrome but was able to do it using Firefox.
In Chrome (my default browser) when clicking Custom Logo, 'Insert image' - the lightbox popup opens allowing the image to be uploaded (and when checking the library it has been uploaded) but then you can click the 'use this' with no result, the lightbox remains open. When trying to add media the same way in a post for example, the problem is not there.
In IE the lightbox is very slow to load but does eventually get there and allow the logo to be added.
