Editing "Portfolio" page only edits portfolio item

    I created a page and used the shortcode to create a Portfolio. I then created a number of Portfolio items. Now if I try to edit the "page" that I created (because I want to manipulate the shortcode to add a new category), it opens up the page editor, but, instead of seeing the shortcode I see the first portfolio item. Any suggestions please?

    I am using 5.1.7. And this still happens to me (sorry I did not respond sooner. I haven't had to update the portfolio for the client). I have a portfolio page and in it I have a few portfolio items. I create the page using the Portfolio shortcode. Once I save, it instantly shows me the first portfolio item associated with that Portfolio page. I can no longer edit page content. Now, the page still works on the live site, so the only time this becomes an issue is if I need to change page content or add a new Port category to be included. When that happens I must delete page and recreate page again. But - as with the original page - the recreated page will not show when I go to edit it.

    This is happening to me as well, and is very frustrating. Any word on a fix?
    I am using 5.1.7.1

    Hi delidesignstudio:

    First may I suggest that you update your theme to the latest version Striking Ver 5.1.8, and then advise if you are still having this issue.

    If continue to have it after the update, and you have also run all the usual checks such as deactivating plugins so as to eliminate script conflicts, then please pm me with your logins for your site, incl your ftp. And also your skype as I think I will want to do a skype share on this issue with you.

    We could not recreate the issue David experienced, and so if you are having it after the update (and with this update a great deal of theme code is adjusted so it is necessary that you update) then it will require some detective work.

    Hmm, it worked on one page and then it stopped working. So I went in and started deactivating plugins, and it was "Simple Facebook Connect" causing the issue. Thanks for your help!

    I use SFC too for the Fanbox. So, that is probably it.
