Clicking on post tag or post category shows no posts (Big Problem)
  • After upgrading to 5.0.4 when I am on my blog page and click on a post category or tag instead of being presented with the posts that belong to that archive group i am shown a sitemap of my whole site.

go the www.thehumaninstinct.com/humansbeing and click on the tag under any post and see what I mean

    UPDATES:

Another quirk is that I have a post tag called "workplace" and a page called "workplace" too. When I click on the post tag it takes me to the page called "workplace" This never happened prior to the upgrade from Striking 4+ to 5.04

If I post a new post and assign it to exisiting categories and then click on those categories I now get all the posts associated with them.

So it looks like this upgrade is causing a problem with old posts..which for a site with a big archive this is a big problem.

FIXED (sort of): After creating a new post, it seems that my site worked itself out and now I can click on dates or tags or categories and get all the posts associated with them..even after i deleted the new post I used to test this out. So anybody else should try this too.

But still something to look at.

  • Thanks for the info.

I think you should refresh the permalink settings after upgrade. Just go to 'settings'->'permalinks' page, click 'save changes' button.
