Widgets mysteriously switch sideabars

    I have 10+ sidebars on my site with 5+ different widgets on each.

    The past month or so maybe once a week all of my widgets will just swap over to another sidebar.

    For example: My Army page has an Army sidebar with widgets with Army links...

    I will just go to the site and all the the widgets from the Army page will have been replaced with the widgets from the Navy page or MEPS page or whatever... even if just an hour or two earlier everything was fine.

    Its not just one or two sidebars... it happens to all of them at the same time.

    Im not sure if a plug in i have is doing it or what.. but its really becoming a problem.

    This is a first. Never heard of this before.

    You have me scratching my head on this one. I have never experienced this in the many times I have visited your site. I don't know even what to suggest - I will confer with Kappy on this - although not likely until this weekend, to see if he has any idea why this gremlin is effecting you.

    Did this just start recently? Can you think of any change that you made just prior to this type of event occurring?

    I am about to go to bed (its pretty late for me) but I will see if I can look into your site tomm.

    Hi James,

    This happens when you delete a widget area. F.e. when you delete the header widgetarea.

    So when a sidbar is deleted due to modification of a widget area from widget to html and back the content of sidebars below is shifted down.

    The same happens when a widget area is inserted when sidebars below already exist. Then the content shifts up.

    I have reported this once to KaptinLin.

    He said this was standard wordpress behaviour and is not theme related. And i have seen this happening in other themes.

    Ahh.. thank you BackuPs

    I did try out some social icons in the hear widget area and then changed my mind on it...

    I will try to be more careful about swapping out the widgets
