I have written many times regarding this issue with no response. I have the jquery NIVO slider set up on the home page but it does not autoplay. The directions to fix this the "anything" slider are NOT applicable. Please tell me how to get the NIVO slider to autoplay soon! Here is the site: http://wong.griffinstrategicmarketing.com/
Are there specific admin settings I need to to turn on to get it to autoplay?
In the Nivo slider options, you will see "Manual Transitions" along with the wording "If you want to force manual transitions , turn on the button".
So this button should be toggled to the "Off position" to allow for autoplay.
Also have "Stop at End" toggled to the "Off position" so that the slider keeps on cycling.
Hope this helps. If it does not, please send to Kappy and I by forum messaging feature your site logins, and we will have a look to see why this is happening.
BTW, I just read your prior post from Aug 17. The thread is a classic example of how one question gets sidetracked from the original post, and then gets lost. I was still off at the time (accident), and Kappy was a one man band focusing on the programming for the update.
He directed you to a fix for the Anything slider at the time, but of course your question was about the Nivo slider. I think he just missed that.
One thing I will again emphasize, for all readers, although it may not be applicable to you Rusty, is that given the core changes in WP, one can no longer mix WP versions with Striking versions, and not have some issue however obscure. So the current version of Striking Ver 4.0.1, requires WP3.2.1 - any lower version of WP and there will most likely be a problem somewhere. Prior versions of Striking are each also very much specific to the WP version then in effect, for the same reason.
So without knowing your Striking and WP versions, I cannot rule out this as a cause.
Please do update us on whether my toggle pointers above helped or not. If not, we will have to log into your site to address the issue.
We take all support very seriously. This forum and its breadth I think are ample evidence of that. Our support is 2nd to none, as many have said countless times, and way beyond what is normally found for a $40 theme. This is because we want customers for life, and hopefully, we have not yet lost you.
Thank you for your prompt response. That did the trick! I figured it was something simple and I just didn't see the solution in any other documentation. I also assumed I wasn't getting the correct solution because of the older thread—hence I started this one. Thanks again. -Feeling much better now.
