  • Hi,

Could anyone tell me why would one of my custom sidebars is being used in one of the blog categories where it should be showing the standard blog sidebar?

Your question is a little confusing.

When you say that your custom sidebar is being used in one of your blog categories do you mean a page with blog categories?
  • Hi miami23,

Blog categories sidebar will show the blog sidebar. Not sure what you mean.

  • I have the same issue. I have several categories under a parent category. One of my child categories is displaying the custom sidebar for a page that I created instead of the default Blog category. If it helps to isolate the problem it is the first category in the child categories of the parent category. The default Blog sidebar is used by all the rest of the child categories with the exception of one child category, which is displaying the custom sidebar that is not related to the category content, so I need to fix this issue. I am running STRIKING 3.0.6.1 with WP 3.2. However this issue was identified before this last update by @miami23 above.

    Thanks.

  • Fixed with suggestion from @miami23 to rename category slug.
