Permalinks--I cant change them

    Hello,
    Im having trouble changing my permalinks on my site. Its not capturing the page title. I just changed the name of my page but the permalink didnt change nor does it give me an option to edit it.

    Can you post your current permalinks? Also, did you recently change it? I ask the latter questions as from what I have read, if you have a site already up and running and then go change the permalink structure, this can sometimes not work very well.

    But I am also wondering if maybe you might try reloading some of the wordpress core files - it could just be a corrupt file or bad install in the wp files. And are you using any SEO plugins as these could be a problem since some take control and/or rewrite the permalink of each page as part of their function.

    You may just want to save the page content into a text file, deleter the page, and then create a new page with the same name, to attempt to get around the issue.

    Those are my initial questions and suggestions.

    I decided to copy the page content and delete the old page and add the new page naming it what I wanted. Worked great.

    I did find a couple of things at wordpress.org on this problem, similar to yours. I don't think you can change a page name when using custom permalinks under certain circumstances.

    In any case, glad my final solution (new page with old content) worked.
