How to have an image as a Button with hover effect

    Hello guys,
    yet another noob question but cant help it..im new..
    I have an image which is supposed to be a button..
    assume the image is "image1.jpg"
    i have another image which is "image2.jpg" and its supposed to be the image which shows when I hover over the button (image1.jpg).

    What is the html code I can input in the HTML section of any page for this to be achieved ?
    Do I have to add some code to the button shortcode ?
    And what kind of hover transitions can be applied..
    Please help
