Hi Kaptinlin,

Amazing theme—best I've seen from ThemeForest—especially with the admin tools you've provided!

I have an issue with my Featured images not showing on the home page. I'm using the Nivo slider. Have any issues about this come up?

Blurry slider PNG images in Internet Explorer

Hi again,
I have a new problem,

I am trying to use PNG24 images on my home page slideshow. They look clean in Firefox and Chrome but they become blurry in IE. I've tried using different size images but always with the same result. Anyone know any fixes for this??

I need to use PNG24 for the transparent backgrounds

CLOSED - jQuery Nivo Slider stops on homepages' end slide and no longer recycles to begining anymore

Since adding a second homepage for my multilingual site, http://chateaudandelot.com, the jQuery Nivo Slider stops on the last slide of both homepages and no longer recycles as it did before with Striking's one "custom" homepage. The primary change, of course, is that I needed to specify an actual page as a homepage at Striking Homepage >> Homepage General, rather than leave it at "None". I verified that the "Stop at End" option at Striking SlideShow >> jQuery Nivo Slider is off. I am running Wordpress 3.1. Any advice how to make the homepages' sliders repeat indefinitely again?

Safari Drop-down Menu Problem

When you rollover a sub-menu item in safari, the bkg color is off-set. See attached.

The problem only happens in Safari, all other browsers are fine.

Mutlitple Toggles Not Showing In IE8

Hi Kaptinlin,
I must say, thank you for your terrific support! I tell anyone I know running wordpress about Striking and I think a couple of them have purchased it for their sites in the last week. The quality of the theme and the support speak very loudly.

I'm have a peculiar problem with IE8. I'm very aware that internet explorer is COMPLETE GARBAGE but I would think if it could display 2 toggles on a page then it should be able to display 18 toggles on a page. Tutorials are listed in 18 different toggles on our members page and they are displayed perfectly in Firefox and Safari. However, internet-junk-explorer only displays 2 of the 18 toggles. Do you know what may be causing this? I've attached my code for the page so you can see what I've got. You won't be able to view the actual page because it's a members page but if you need to see how it diplays, leave me an email address in the contact form in the footer of the site and I will give you temporary access.

No slides displaying when jQuery Nivo Slider is selected

When jQuery Nivo is selected, I just get a loading icon and no images appearing but it works fine for other sliders. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the entire theme. It does not help.

Please advise

Membership site page login & gravity forms

Hi KaptinLin,

Great theme! I installed it yesterday and love all the options and how clean it is. I have, however, come across some issues that cannot go unaddressed.

My site is a membership site with a login form on a wordpress page. The login credentials can be entered but for some strange reason the submit button does not submit the form. However, the login widget on the login page does work although I'd rather not have to use it because the input fields are very short. The page login works as it should with the default theme and the inFocus theme that the site was developed with.
I rely on gravity forms for feedback and Special Services Requests but the forms do not show up on the pages with the Striking theme. The shortcode for the form is on the page but the form is not visible. In fact, its as if the form does not exist at all. I noticed that when I'm logged in as administrator and I view the page, the edit link that is usually at the very bottom of any content, is up at the top of the page as if there is nothing on the page at all.

The site cannot be used with the Striking template until these issues are resolved because my members cannot login or use any of the gravity forms necessary to communicate. It seems like you're very quick to get things resolved so I hope these issues can be as well.

Portfolio sidebar not working

In a portfolio, when you click the "more info" link for an item it takes you to a single item portfolio page. That page has a right sidebar, or whatever you select in the single portfolio setup section. But I cannot get anything to show up there, or get the portfolio widget area to work properly. Perhaps I am doing something wrong? Any help to get the sidebar to work is appreciated as usual!

Some issues for portfolios

Hi.

I've been configuring my portfolio and I've found some things I would like to post to see if this is something that happens to more people, and how to fix it.

I have the general configuration for the breadcrums to be shown all over the site. I browse through the site and there's the breadcrumbs all over. But when I add a new portfolio item and I let the "Disable breadcrumbs" value in OFF I still can't see the breadcrumb at the portfolio page. Example: general page http://www.wpcostarica.com/portafolio/ and the detail is here http://www.wpcostarica.com/portfolio/rancho-la-botija/ but you can't see the breadcrumbs.
Some elements I want to display the "Read more", some others not... but when I set to OFF the "Enable read more" for a portfolio it still show the "Read more" link.

And this is not an issue, but a general question: If I have an element configured to manually link to a URL, how can I make it to open in a new window, instead of the current window?

3D Flash Slider settings not working

Okay...I've got 3 photos set as Featured images, and they are indeed showing up in my homepage slide show, using the 3D Flash Image Rotator. However, no matter what change I make in the Slide Show config page under the 3D Flash Image Rotator settings, they don't take effect...everything stays the same. I hit "save changes" of course, and the changes do save, but nothing changes when I view the homepage.

Is there something I'm missing?

Slider Images not formatting properly

I've read through the documents and as much of the forum as I could and have not been able to resolve this issue.

Images are showing up in the slider area on the home page, but regardless of their size (I have manually resized them to 960x440 and smaller) or format (tried multiple image formats) the image is zoomed in. This happens in Firefox as well as Chrome.

Any information you can provide is appreciated.

Hi,

Is there any way to reset the striking theme or load it's defaults? Some of the shortcodes like [list style="list2"] a d f [/list] do not work and I was hoping that a reset might fix this issue.

CLOSED - Styled Table Border Not Matching Width

I've had some difficulty with the table border going beyond the width property thats assigned in Safari 5.0.3 and Firefox 3.6.13.

So as a work-around, I've had to use the DIV tag to control the table border and width.

I looked through the CSS and the only property I found that I thought might be affecting it was here:

However, when I removed the width property the problem didn't go away. Any thoughts?

WordPress backend: "Add an image" button does not popup, shows in a new page

I've installed the Strinking theme and I'm exploring its options, but something strange that is happening is that when I write or edit a post and I try to include an image, the "add an image" button of the Wordpress backend editor (TinyMCE, I think) does not work properly.

Usually when you want to load an image you click on that button and a popup window appears allowing you to browse your harddisk to upload the image or images you want to include in the post. That works properly in my installation if I select the default TwentyTen theme.

But when I'm working with Striking and I click on the "Add an Image button", the post edition dissapears to load the upload image options on the new page. I can upload images, but after I insert them on the post I cannot return to the post I was editing. I attach three images to clarify this strange situation.

Anything Slider

I have enabled the Anything Slider on my website and can't get the slider to come up. If I do any of the other slider options, it comes up without any problems. The image is set as the Feature Image and seems to not be picking up when the Anything Slider is enabled.

Also, I have the latest version (2.2) installed.

Slider not showing up after update to

Hi Kaptinlin,
After updating to 2.2.3 sliders no longer appears on the homepage. I've tried permissions as recommended in the forum threads here (timthumb, cache, etc.) but no luck. It does work when I swap the theme back to 2.1 however so it seems to be 2.2.3 specific.
My WP is installed off the root in a folder called v2 so maybe it's a pathing issue. Your thoughts?

Twitter widget and GTranslate Plugin Issues - not working on Homepage

I think there is a jQuery conflict with this theme. I cannot get GTranslate to work with the homepage slider, it causes FF errors. Also, when I put the Twitter widget on the page it doesn't work on homepage, only other pages. ReCaptcha has many errors with comments and doesn't use the theme style I choose, only default red. I'll deal with the third-party plugins latter, but the custom theme widgets you included with this theme should work. Can you please test your custom widgets for this theme and make sure they work on the homepage with Anything slider enabled? Thanks.

Error in Portuguese Brazilian translation - FIXED IN UPDATE VER 2.3 - Translation updated

Hi, Kaptilin, can you fix this translation bit? Below I've included the part with the error in the pt_br.po file. Someone told me that I have to export it also to pt_br.mo but I don't know how.

Portfolio Paging Giving 404 Not Found

Hey there,

I set up a 2 column portfolio page with a max of 8 items per page, and when I click to go on page two, it gives me a 404 Page Not Found error.

I put the max up to 12 for now, so my visitors don't get any problems, but I would want to eventually add pages instead of one long page.

Any Ideas?

Cufon Font Replacement - misses £ sign in H1 - H6 text - FIXED IN UPDATE - FONT UPDATED

Hi,
I'm trying to use the code for the pricing boxes as per your sample pages, but when I insert a price in GBP (i.e. £250), the £ sign does not show up. It appears in general text, but not in any headers (H1 - H6). I assume that this means that Cufon is to blame.

How do I get the £ sign back? This is pretty important to me, as I can't currently show any pricing!
