Is it hard coded maybe because I've deleted all of my test content and it is still showing.

I recently purchased the latest version of Striking on themeforest and then downloaded the beta from your support site.

I would like to get started migrating my old HTML site to your Wordpress theme and have set up Wordpress on my localhost, so that I can build the site and then launch it when we're satisfied with how it's working.

My very basic question is: how do I install the theme?

I tried to upload the ZIP file, but it said the file was too large. Is it possible or is there another way?

I updated the site today and for some reason the last column of the footer was pushed underneath the first column so the widget areas are stacked. I used CSS to position the third column for now. Of course, the footer now has an empty space underneath the widget areas but it's a temporary fix. Any ideas why this happened? Here is the site: www.raycepr.com

There is no sign of a 'sensor' setting in the widget so I dont know how to fix this.

This only happens with this theme on only certain sites (regardless of Striking version). It is only happening on two of several sites using Striking, but they are the only two with this ISP. I’m sure it is not really a problem with your theme, but with the ISP or WP install done there, however, it is only showing up using your theme, not when I switch themes. Otherwise, it doesn’t effect functionality.

The images were uploaded as-is. Once you begin clicking through the lightbox, you will see some images posted by fans are 2600+ px wide or tall (or more). On display in the lightbox on screen (20"), sometimes only a quarter or smaller of the entire image displays. I don't see a field in the shortcode wizard pop up for restricting or compressing max. pixel size on screen.

Please advise if I've missed it, or I should go back to edit photos to limit max. display size to X pixels.

I have found the way to display recent blog posts on the homepage (using shortcode), however it only displays the # of posts I enter and there is no link at the bottom to the "older posts."

Can you help me? All I want to do is use the Homepage as the Bog page, working like a normal blog. I want it to show the 4 or 5 most recent posts (or a preview) with links to full posts and older posts.

I am creating a business directory site and have set each business up as a portfolio with specific categories. I have a directory page which is set up with the portfolio shortcode with sorting so the portfolios can be sorted into the categories. I would also like a list of portfolios belonging to a certain category to show in the search results - all the portfolios categorised as banks should show if the user searched on banks.

I think I may need additional code or a plugin to be able to do this. If I am not mistaken a portfolio category is a custom taxonomy and a portfolio post is a custom post in wordpress and these are not included in the standard search - well in the Striking theme you can include portfolios in the search results but not the portfolio categories.

Ive de activated both to see if they are the cause but when I deactivate magic action box i get a fatal error because it makes up part of my header on each page so my page wont display correctly without it. Ive tried disabling the particular optin for my header within the plugin but it doesnt work. Any thing else that might be preventing the feature image to display?
It still appears for previous posts ive made, but just not new ones.

I have a little problem that I can't seem to fix. On some computers, the anything slider I have on the homepage for our site doesn't load when internet explorer (at teast with version 9 and I'm not sure but I think also with version 10) is being used. I have some pc's here in the office and it's all working fine, so it's difficult for me to find the issue. But I hear quite often people are having this problem and I saw it myself as well at a friends place. Clearing cache (in WP, from striking, and on local pc) did not fix the problem. Blogging and website platform WordPress has been hit by a massive botnet of tens of thousands of computers, but it could be just the surface of a wider, larger attack.

The performance and security firm CloudFare warned in a blog post today that the unknown attacker is using a "relatively weak botnet of home PCs in order to build a much larger botnet of beefy servers in preparation for a future attack," suggesting a calm before a heavier storm.

The botnet is attempting to "brute force" attack WordPress websites using the username "admin", with thousands of different passwords. The botnet of machines — often individual machines infected with malware and subscribed to target servers and websites with vast amounts of data — is being used to hack web-based WordPress installations.

This botnet channels some bandwidth from individual computers infected with malware, which in mass and collectively can cause the overloading of servers. Typically, this kind of attack is either used by willing participants to cause a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack against websites to force them offline, or by "slave" computers that can be used to carry out hacking attempts.

It comes only a week after WordPress enhanced user security by rolling out an optional two-factor authentication system.

WordPress founder Matt Mullenwag criticized those who were offering "solutions" to the problem, such as CloudFare, and instead suggested changing default usernames as an additional step to protect their WordPress accounts.

"If you still use 'admin' as a username on your blog, change it, use a strong password, if you're on WordPress.com turn on two-factor authentication, and of course make sure you’re up-to-date on the latest version of WordPress," he said.

"Do this and you’ll be ahead of 99 percent of sites out there and probably never have a problem."

WordPress remains a large target for hackers, which has around 64 million individual blogs and websites, with more than 370 million readers each month. Alexa ranks the blogging network as the 21 most visited site in the world

I use ManageWP and often use the "Security Scan" and "Website Performance Scan" to improve client websites. When doing a website performance scan on a client website, I see the following issue:

"Use efficient CSS selectors:

http://www.client-website.com/wp-content/themes/striking/cache/04a5166866989b86044becb1ad591c18.css?... has 51 very inefficient rules, 230 inefficient rules, and 18 potentially inefficient uses of :hover out of 923 total rules."

More detail is provided on all of the so-called inefficient rules.

Considering that Striking provides a lot of awesome features in terms of design and functionality, I do not expect all of the code to be perfect/valid as per W3C standards or whatever. However, it does seem that Striking would benefit from addressing the use of inefficient CSS selectors.
